DynCorp International Awarded Contract Modification for Expanded LOGCAP Base Life Support in Afghanistan

The U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) has awarded DynCorp International (DI) expanded work under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) IV contract to provide additional base life support and maintenance services in Afghanistan. The modification began February 15 and is valued at $24.4 million for additional support for U.S. forces in the southern region of Afghanistan.

“Delivering exceptional service has earned our team an outstanding reputation and we are honored to expand our efforts on this critically important mission,” said Rob Tillery, vice president for DI’s LOGCAP IV program.

Under the LOGCAP program, DI provides critical operations and maintenance support, including but not limited to facilities management, electrical power, water, sewage and waste management, HAZMAT, laundry operations, billeting, material handling equipment operations and maintenance, firefighting services, transportation motor pool operations, dining and food service operations, Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR), airfield operations and container yard management and movement control operations.

The LOGCAP IV contract is the Army component of the Department of Defense’s efforts to award contracts to U.S. companies for a broad range of logistics and support services to U.S. and allied forces during combat, peacekeeping, humanitarian and training operations.
