GAINESVILLE, Fla., May 8, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sport lovers in Florida will soon have a brand-new online source for all things related to sports in Florida thanks to a new blog by aspiring sport journalist Shaun Benderson. The blog will debut in June.

The new sport blog, located at http://www.shaunbendersonflorida.com/, has already gone through a successful closed beta test with a select group of users who helped to stress-test the website. Because the test was successful, version 1.0 of the new website is slated to be launched on June 1.

Benderson is a Florida university student and an aspiring sport journalist who is passionate about the launch of the blog for two reasons. First, it will give him the opportunity to hone his sport writing skills. However, most importantly, he is looking forward to providing the latest news on his favorite sport teams in the Sunshine State -- teams that a number of fans both in Florida and outside of the state have grown to love, too.

Benderson is a Gator, so naturally, his loyalty lies with the University of Florida's Gator teams. However, because he is also a Florida resident, he has an affinity for the Miami Heat NBA team. Viewers can expect to see game updates, player profiles, and team news as well as updates that players post themselves on their social media profiles -- all at one site.

Although his blog will primarily cover Florida sports, viewers may occasionally see some creative pieces that do not necessarily relate to sports, as Benderson enjoys creative writing as well. In addition, Benderson plans to share tidbits about Gator campus live and offer academic advice and other tips for those interested in becoming Gators.
