Pillar Learning Introduces Codi, an AI Interactive Children's Toy

MIAMI, Aug. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Smartphones, tablets and video games have increasingly become the primary educational tool for kids. To decrease children's daily screen-time, Pillar Learning introduces Codi, an artificial intelligence (AI) enabled toy that provides children with customized, interactive content and developmental support outside of the classroom. Today, Pillar Learning launched a Kickstarter campaign in the hopes of raising $35,000 to help bring Codi to children worldwide.

Standing at 8.5 inches tall, Codi shares hundreds of classic songs, stories and lessons based on age, interests and ability. This new AI toy presents children with classic content through a research-proven format that supports mental development. Codi incorporates a real, highly expressive voice with visual cues to keep children engaged and entertained while learning. Made from soft, high-quality and stain-resistant materials, Codi is ready to withstand years of play.

"We surveyed children and used their feedback to create the perfect, child-centric design," said Dayu Yang, CEO of Pillar Learning. "Codi is intelligent, fun and cute. Unlike other children's toys, Codi is development focused, over purely comfort or entertainment focused."

Codi uses AI to offer a customized experience for each individual child. With a coordinating mobile app, parents are able to administer lessons, set up useful tools (such as leaving their child a voicemail), facilitate important habits (like brushing teeth) and more, all while having access to valuable insights on their child's developmental progress. Codi functions easily on the go with downloadable content and Wi-Fi connection capabilities. Future content releases and free software updates will ensure Codi can be used for years to come without needing a replacement or upgrade.

"Parents don't need to worry with Codi; we've created a product they can trust," said Yang. "Codi provides full parental control and transparency into children's playtime progress with our app. To ensure your child's privacy and safety, Codi only stores voice and usage data on highly secure, COPPA-compliant servers."

Codi is currently available for preorder on Kickstarter for $69.00 USD, which includes Codi, one standard outfit and a 6-month premium content membership ($4.99/month retail value) for almost 30% off of the future retail price.
