Quika to Attend the ITU Telecom World 2018 in South Africa

LONDON, Sept. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Quika, the world's first free satellite internet service will be participating and sponsoring this year's ITU Telecom World in Durban, South Africa from 10-13 September 2018.

Quika will also be hosting a relaxed social gathering following the first day of the conference at the LeaderSpace Happy Hour. With a welcome presentation by Jack Buechler, Chief Operating Officer at Quika, it will provide Leader and Executive Pass holders with an opportunity to join other international leaders of industry and government at this exclusive event.

Quika, powered by Talia, the market-leading teleport, satellite and terrestrial operator, has developed their service to respond to the growing disparity between regions with high and low investment and access to internet infrastructure.

With 53 per cent of the world's population still offline, Quika is responding by introducing entry-level free and volume-based contract-free Pay As You Go services. Customers can purchase their e-vouchers for internet access from any device over their Quika connection. Add-ons are also available within the month where a customer has reached their bandwidth limit with users redirected to the purchasing page on the Quika website to enable them to add credit and continue to access the internet.
