First episode of new original sports documentary TV series to air next weekend

JACKSON, Miss., Oct. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The first episode of a new original sports documentary series called "Between the Pines," tracing the rich history, tradition and passion behind Mississippi's greatest sports stories, will air on television stations across the state and in Memphis next weekend.

"The University of South Panola (USP)" airs on Oct. 13 and 14 and tells the story of South Panola High School's famous football dynasty in Batesville, Mississippi. South Panola became one of the nation's best high school programs, won a national championship in 2010, and owns the 5(th) longest winning streak in history at 89 consecutive games.

Participating TV stations who will broadcast the first episode include WLBT Channel 3 in Jackson, WDAM Channel 7 in Hattiesburg, WLOX Channel 13 in Biloxi, WCBI Channel 4 in Columbus, WTOK Channel 11 in Meridian and WMC Channel 5 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Broadcast times for the one-hour program, which vary based on station affiliate schedules:
