Water and Midstream Events Coming to Midcontinent and Permian Conferences

HOUSTON, Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing to bring industry leaders face-to-face with the latest oil and gas production strategies, Hart Energy announced half-day technical programs commencing one day before next month's Executive Oil Conference and DUG Midcontinent conference and exhibition.

Executive Oil Conference's Water Forum, November 5 at the Midland Horseshoe Arena and Pavilion, will feature strategies for handling water over the full life of Permian wells. Water experts and leading producers will discuss sourcing and supply; reuse and recycle; and gathering and disposal.

University Lands' CEO Mark Houser will start the forum with his presentation on smart water infrastructure benefitting West Texas' operators, the environment and the Permanent University Fund. Following the opening keynote, Sourcewater's CEO Josh Adler and Hydrozonix's President Mark Patton will lead a panel discussion on new sourcing and supply strategies. They will focus on managing water quality, working with different water types, and the role of digital technologies in monitoring.

"Water management accounts for roughly 40% of lease operating expenses in the Permian," said Jennifer Presley, Executive Editor E&P Magazine. "This forum explores tactics for producers to use technology to control costs in these areas."

DUG Midcontinent's Midstream Technical Forum, November 13 in Oklahoma City's Renaissance Hotel, will bring together midstream experts, leading operators and service companies to look at effective strategies and new developments in the midstream sector.

An opening keynote from the president and CEO of the GPA Midstream Association focuses on technical skills and training challenges while the closing roundtable looks at human factors in operational safety. In between, a major midstream operator assesses monetary advantages from the Internet of Things (IoT), and expert panels review profitable opportunities in gas processing and effective strategies for asset protection.

"Innovations promise to deliver improved efficiency in midstream operations," said Paul Hart, Midstream Editor-at-Large, Oil and Gas Investor. "This forum is designed for producers and midstream operators to exchange views on the best paths forward."
