ManTech Wins $45 million Award for Agile Development of Sensors in U.S. Navy’s PMA-231 Hawkeye Aircraft

ManTech today announced a $45 million four-year award for the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane for technical advancement of sensors used by Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in Hawkeye aircraft (PMA-231). The award was under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center (DoD IAC), Defense Systems Technical Area Task (DS TAT), Multiple Award Contract issued by the Air Force Installation Contracting Agency.

Often called “the eyes of the fleet,” PMA-231 Hawkeye aircraft use integrated, automated sensors to provide surveillance, identification and tracking of threat aircraft and cruise missile systems, and to ensure situational awareness. ManTech will leverage its DoD-wide experience with sensor integration and support as well as agile software engineering and development techniques to advance sensor performance in rapid-fire sprints and accelerate the delivery of vital intelligence.
