Resurgent Semiconductor Granted Manufacturing License for Exar Amplifier Products

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif., Oct. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Resurgent Semiconductor today announced that Exar Corporation ("Exar"), a subsidiary of MaxLinear, Inc. has granted a manufacturing license to Resurgent Semiconductor for Exar's amplifier product line (formerly Cadeka Microcircuits products). Resurgent will take responsibility for all manufacturing, marketing, and sales activities for these devices. Exar had previously discontinued their amplifier product line. Through this agreement Resurgent will create a long-term supply of amplifier products that customers may continue to purchase. Resurgent will use the same supply chain as used by Exar, ensuring that the form, fit and function of the amplifier products remains unchanged after the transition.

"Resurgent will provide customers with the certified parts they need on a continuing basis," said James Lougheed, Vice President of Marketing for High Performance Analog at MaxLinear. "Resurgent provides another tool to Exar for continuing supply of legacy products."

"This agreement with Exar will help provide OEMs with greater certainty around their long-term design decisions," said Duker Dapper, president of Resurgent Semiconductor. "This transaction also further demonstrates Resurgent's capability to provide ongoing supply of high quality products."
