StableGuard Thrilled to Announce Expansion at Thunderbird Show Park - One of North America's Most Prestigious Equine Competition Facilities

SEATTLE, Nov. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- StableGuard and Thunderbird Show Park (tbird) are thrilled to announce the expansion of the StableGuard monitoring system in tbird's FEI stabling areas located in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. The initial installation of the StableGuard system began in the spring of 2018 allowing exhibitors to get the StableGuard app with access to live stream video of their horses in the West FEI stabling area. Tbird became the first ever horse show facility to offer live stream video of horses in their stalls to exhibitors. In doing so, tbird and StableGuard provided peace of mind to owners, managers, and riders by allowing them to check on their horses around the clock. For the 2019 show season, tbird is expanding the StableGuard system to monitor close to 250 stalls throughout the new Evergate stables. In addition to the live stream functionality in the app, exhibitors will also be able to view when horses show major distress behavior, when horses leave the stall, and when humans enter the stall.

Thunderbird Show Park hosts seven major hunter and jumper competitions per year from May to August. Featuring CSI5* Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Canada competition to World Championship Hunter Rider weeks, tbird attracts the most elite hunter and jumper competitors from around the world. Tbird has always had their exhibitors' best interest at heart and aims to provide the safest, highest quality, and most enjoyable experience possible. Show management is thrilled to provide StableGuard to even more of their exhibitors in 2019. Chris Pack, COO of Tbird, "We are thrilled with the positive response from our exhibitors regarding the StableGuard system. And we are excited that more exhibitors can have access to their horses through the app at tbird in 2019."

StableGuard was founded by CEO, Alexa Anthony, in 2017. Alexa was inspired to start the company after losing the horse that took her to the highest level of her career in show jumping. Her horse died of colic in the middle of the night at eight years old. Since then, she has made giant strides of advancement in the equine technology industry to promote the health and wellbeing of these magnificent animals that do so much for us. StableGuard offers far more than its surveillance and home security camera competitors; through the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence, the StableGuard system is able to identify horse behavior and alert horse owners to human interaction, and horse distress.

Competitive show horses are expensive and sensitive animals that are at risk to many health ailments when stabled at a competition. StableGuard's smart monitoring system will alert users to human intruders and drastic changes of horse behavior, bringing improved health and security to horses and peace of mind to their owners. StableGuard is proud to improve the safety of valuable show animals and excited to expand their presence throughout tbird's FEI stabling area. Alexa Anthony is thrilled to be working with Thunderbird, "We were so pleased to have exhibitors using our app at tbird this year. My absolute favorite part of the year was getting our app on exhibitors' phones. The joy on their face when they saw their horses through live-stream video was validation that our system brings peace of mind," says Anthony.

StableGuard will be expanding their system in early 2019 to be ready for the 2019 show season. To learn more about StableGuard and Thunderbird Show Park, visit www.mystableguard.com and www.tbird.ca.
