The Von Agency launches vodcast on YouTube to promote Staten Island businesses, nonprofits, events and more

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y., Dec. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Von Agency, Inc. a Staten Island based Public Relations and Social Media Marketing firm, has launched a vodcast on YouTube to promote all that is good about Staten Island, New York City's smallest borough. The vodcast is called "Vonsense" and is hosted by native Staten Islanders, George Passariello, partner at The Von Agency and Joseph Quadara, Social Media Manager.

Said Leticia Remauro, President and CEO of The Von Agency, Inc., "We are very excited about this vodcast and we hope that people tune in regularly to learn about the great things Staten Island has to offer. George and Joe make a great team. Their synergy is palpable so people feel comfortable chatting with them on important subjects such as traffic, transportation and health, or fun stuff like, what they like to watch on television.

"The goal of the vodcast is to let people know about the great things happening on Staten Island - New York City's suburban community."

The vodcast is Passariello's brainchild, borne out of his frustration with television shows that poke fun at Staten Island or portray the borough in a less than positive light.

"Much to the chagrin of television producers, Staten Island is more than a bunch of orange skinned, Botox injected mob wives lamenting the fact that their mobster husbands are in jail. Staten Island has the second highest median income behind Manhattan. We are an educated community of artists, writers, athletes and physicians. We are home to teachers, police officers, firefighters, corrections officers and health care workers. Many of our residents played pivotal roles in our Nation's history.

"I want this vodcast to give the world an opportunity to get to know the real Staten Island and the people who make this borough unique. We cover a wide variety of topics from Staten Island's role in the American Revolutionary War to which Staten Island restaurant has the best thin crust pizza. Segments run between 20 and 60 minutes with some of the best stuff happening when we go off topic - which is often. Viewers should expect the unexpected at all times."

Said Joe Quadara, Social Media Manager, "As a young professional who was born and raised in Staten Island, I am surprised at how much I don't know about my hometown. I learn something new from every show. I am particularly excited by the wide variety of guests we have on the show. From New York City Mayoral Candidate, Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis to Executive Director of Sunrise Day Camp for children with cancer, Gerard Ucelli, viewers are exposed to some truly thought provoking conversations."

"Vonsense" can be seen live on the Vonsense Facebook page. However, for the best "Vonsense" experience, viewers are encouraged to subscribe to the Vonsense YouTube Channel.
