Electrosoft Awarded $41 Million IT Information Security Services Contract

RESTON, Va., Jan. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Electrosoft, a leading provider of diversified technology-based solutions and services to the federal government, announces it was recently selected as the single awardee of a $41 million contract to provide IT information security services to the Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration (ITA). The contract, competed under 8(a) STARS II, provides for a base period and four 1-year options. Twenty-three vendors competed for this contract.

Electrosoft has been supporting the Department of Commerce since 2001, assisting the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) with the development of nearly two dozen cybersecurity publications (standards, guidelines, interagency reports, etc.) and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office with vulnerability analysis and cybersecurity compliance activities for cloud-based and contractor-owned information systems. Under the most recent award from the ITA, Electrosoft will provide program management services and support security assessment and authorization for hosted as well as cloud-based systems. In addition, Electrosoft will support vulnerability management, penetration testing, security operations center and the privacy program.

Sarbari Gupta, president and CEO of Electrosoft, said, "We are pleased to be awarded this contract and have the opportunity to apply our significant cybersecurity expertise on behalf of ITA. Now, more than ever before, federal agencies must vigilantly safeguard their systems and data via proactive tools and techniques. Electrosoft is a leader in provisioning cybersecurity services that enable defense and civilian agencies, including NIST and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, to manage risk through effective as well as compliant information security programs.
