Jimmy D. Taylor, M.D. Joins The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation

CERRITOS, Calif., Mar. 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dr. Jimmy D. Taylor is a board-certified medical oncologist that brings over 30 years of medical experience to The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation.

Dr. Taylor began his undergraduate education at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, where he received a B.S. in Pre-Medicine/Zoology and a Minor African-American Studies. He then completed his medical education from Howard University, College of Medicine, Washington, DC. Thereafter, he received his graduate education from Johns Hopkins University, School of Hygiene & Public Health in Baltimore, MD where he enrolled in the MPH Program.

Dr. Taylor completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine from Harlem Hospital Center, New York, NY, Franklin Square Hospital, South Baltimore General Hospital, Baltimore, MD. He received his fellowship training from the Department of Medicine, The Division of Hematology-Oncology, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI. He has several peer reviews and publications.

Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the National Medical Association and the African Organization Research Training in Cancer.

Dr. Taylor believes strongly in educating his patients and providing them and their family with individualized treatment plans that are designed based on the type of tumor/disease, the patient's wish, and their social circumstance.
