Archadeck of Central Iowa Receives Archadeck Outdoor Living's Design Excellence Award
RICHMOND, Va., March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Harold Cross, owner of Archadeck of Central Iowa, and his team received the national Archadeck Outdoor Living's Design Excellence Award for the deck, porch and patio space they created for a family in Dallas County.
The family was looking for newly designed deck that would allow them to relax and celebrate together, as well as entertain. In addition, they wanted a covered deck for an outdoor living space, outdoor kitchen and an area for a fire pit.
Harold Cross worked with the family closely to design and build the outdoor living space of their dreams. The deck and porch were framed using Trex Elevation Steel Framing and the roofline was adjusted and matched to allow for the outdoor kitchen to be completely covered. The outdoor kitchen consisted of all FireMagic components included an Aurora grill, warming drawer, bar caddy and a refrigerator.
The decking is TimberTech Tropical Caribbean Redwood and the porch ceiling finish is tongue-and-groove cedar with ceiling fans and recessed lighting. Cross also designed a stairway and railing to work around the curved outer wall of the bunker below.
"The curved staircase was the perfect option, from aesthetics and functional perspectives, to travel from the lower backyard and the upper patio, deck, porch, and driveway level. Veneer stone finished off the bunker walls and was a nice aesthetic tie-in to the deck/porch columns," said the homeowner.
