London Computer Systems Joins the National Apartment Association on Capitol Hill

CINCINNATI, March 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- London Computer Systems (LCS), developer of Rent Manager® property management software and other business-critical technologies, joined hundreds of fellow National Apartment Association (NAA) Advocate participants in Washington DC in early March to advocate on behalf of the rental housing industry's key priorities.

Advocate is an annual advocacy conference organized by the non-profit organization, NAA, that LCS/Rent Manager participates in to provide education and reform on the rapidly evolving multifamily housing industry. This year's talking points focused on the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program, infrastructure, and flood insurance.

LCS representatives helped Advocate reach its goal of meeting all 535 members of Congress by visiting the offices of 12 Representatives and Senate members. The policies and issues discussed shape the landscape of the housing industry and impact the way Rent Manager users operate their businesses. In order to help property managers of all sizes grow their portfolios, LCS actively advocates on their behalf.

Abbie Huffman, Rent Manager Business Development Manager, and Patrick O'Hearn, Rent Manager Channel Partner Manager, were the company representatives who participated in the Advocate meetings.

"Multifamily is a huge customer base and it's important for us to know what is going on within our industry so we can better meet our customers' needs," Huffman stated. "We're all about lifting people up and helping however we can."

Employees of LCS and Rent Manager put in the time to not just learn, but also help to develop the future of multifamily housing development and maintenance. Outside of Advocate, representatives of the company regularly participate in the ongoing conversation within the property management community.

LCS and Rent Manager will continue to further the conversations started at Advocate by supporting those industry professionals working at the local level and committing to follow through on the many actionable items identified during their time on Capitol Hill.

"We're simply giving back to the industry that gives to us," said O'Hearn. "You can't just show up, you have to participate... LCS isn't going to wait for someone else to do it."
