Western Environmental Liner Announces Winner of Its 2019 Scholarship Award
TOLLESON, Ariz., June 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Western Environmental Liner (https://www.WesternLiner.com), a leading manufacturer of geomembrane liners for industrial and commercial use, today announced the winner of its 2019 STEM Scholarship Program. The company awarded a $1,000 scholarship to a student pursuing a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field.
This year's scholarship winner is Jacklyn Krueger, who will be attending Laurentian University and studying astrophysics.

The winner was chosen from over 230 essay submissions. Students were asked to write an essay explaining why they chose to pursue a STEM degree.
Carter says he was impressed with the number and quality of the essays his company received.
"There are a lot of bright kids looking at STEM careers," says Carter, "It was inspiring to read their essays."
Western Environmental Liner depends on innovation to create next-generation synthetic geomembranes. These fabrics are used as pond, canal and waste containment liners to preserve water or protect the environment from industrial waste.
The company's scholarship essay contest was open to any graduating high school senior or college student enrolled in an undergraduate program for the 2019-2020 school year. Students were required to be pursuing a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math field.
