Baymark Health Services Acquires Opioid Addiction Treatment Program in Tennessee

LEWISVILLE, Texas, June 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AppleGate Recovery, a BayMark Health Services company, announced this week the acquisition of A.M.C. Nashville, an office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) program in Nashville, Tennessee. The facility, established in 2011, provides buprenorphine and Suboxone® medication-assisted treatment with counseling in a physician's office setting. A.M.C. has built their successful program on a belief in comprehensive, individualized treatment plans and the protection of patients' privacy in an environment of respect.

AppleGate Recovery now operates 13 programs across 6 states that focus on outpatient treatment with buprenorphine and buprenorphine compounds such as the well-known Suboxone®, as well as Bunavail® and Zubsolv®. These medications are supported by counseling and recovery services which provide a comprehensive treatment modality that addresses physical withdrawal symptoms and psychological cravings.

"Like much of the Mid-West and Southern United States, Tennessee continues to experience significant increases in overdose deaths and opioid prescribing rates by physicians, both of which are telling factors in areas where proven treatment options are needed," shared Mike Saul, BayMark Division President. "AppleGate Recovery, backed by the experience and support of BayMark, has an opportunity to expand the service offerings of A.M.C. Nashville, who has done great work over the last 8 years in providing quality addiction treatment and proving to be a valuable asset to the community."

In addition to medication-assisted treatment and counseling, AppleGate provides laboratory services, case management and collaborative treatment during pregnancy. Patients have access to medical providers, counselors and staff who can guide them to find the resources they need as they rebuild their lives and ensure their overall health is the number one priority.
David K. White, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of BayMark Health Services, added, "BayMark offers a number of innovative medication-assisted treatment options to meet the needs of our patients across the country. People across the country have been impacted by the opioid crisis, and it's important that the right treatment options are available to those in need. AppleGate Recovery is an important part of the treatment continuum of care as it provides many of the same benefits as other more structured MAT programs, but with much more flexibility. We at BayMark look forward to continuing to expand these services where they are most needed."
