SRI International Appoints John Van Scoter to General Manager and Vice President of Product Transition
MENLO PARK, Calif., June 18, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- SRI International has appointed John Van Scoter to the newly created position of general manager and vice president of product transition. In this position, Van Scoter will establish a new Institute-wide capability for product development that brings SRI's world-changing technologies to market.
Van Scoter has worked with SRI since 2018 by serving on its Commercial Advisory Board, led by SRI president Manish Kothari, and by serving as the executive chairman of the board for SRI venture Princeton Identity.

Prior to working with SRI, Van Scoter was the chief executive officer of eSolar, a startup in solar power, where he oversaw the development of next-generation solar technology. Earlier in his career, he was senior vice president of alternative energy and general manager of the DLP product division for Texas Instruments.
