Softdocs Names Mike Williamson Vice President of Research and Development

COLUMBIA, S.C., June 26, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Softdocs, the education-focused provider of enterprise content management (ECM) solutions, announced the addition of Mike Williamson to its executive team earlier today. This appointment accompanies a period of record growth for Softdocs, as colleges, universities and K-12 districts seek cloud-based ECM solutions to enhance the functionality of deployed enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) solutions and other technologies.

As vice president of research and development, Williamson will lead Softdocs' efforts to grow its development team by up to 50% within 24 months, advance current offerings and develop new additions to the company's suite of ECM solutions.

Williamson has spent the last 12 years at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, as both an application development manager and system solution designer. Previously, Williamson served as vice president of product development at MedVantx, Inc., manager software development at HealthMagic and application development manager at Pyxis Corporation.

"With the addition of Mike to our leadership team, Softdocs gains a tremendous asset," said Softdocs President and CEO Mike Murphy. "Possessing a wide range of leadership experience, Mike has cultivated a skill set which will allow us to accelerate strategy and evolve our solutions to correlate with expanding technology portfolios, new integration methods and changing cybersecurity or regulatory compliance demands."

"Throughout my career, every successful development team has truly understood their customers and their customers' needs, both spoken and unspoken," said Williamson. "Allowing this understanding to influence how the team resolves customers' business problems is vital. A similar culture exists at Softdocs, which I hope to leverage in increasing the throughput of customer-relevant, high-quality releases."
