Ronald Swendris, MD, Glaucoma Specialist, Joins Grand Rapids Ophthalmology

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., July 11, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Grand Rapids Ophthalmology (GRO) is pleased to announce the addition of glaucoma specialist, Ronald Swendris, MD, to its growing team of eye care professionals. He is the latest to join in GRO's continued commitment to providing patients superior treatment with its expansive team of ophthalmologists and optometrists.

Dr. Swendris is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist using advanced laser, surgical, and medical techniques to treat glaucoma patients. Dr. Swendris graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed his ophthalmology residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and his glaucoma fellowship was completed at Kresge Eye Institute.

Dr. Swendris is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is an active member of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. He has been in practice since 1992, was very active in clinical research, and an assistant clinical professor at the Kresge Eye Institute. Dr. Swendris joined Grand Rapids Ophthalmology in 2019. Dr. Swendris is currently accepting new patients at GRO.
