Youth Entrepreneurs Partners with Extension Engine, Expands Entrepreneurial Education Program

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. and WICHITA, Kan., July 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Extension Engine, a leading provider of custom learning experiences, and Youth Entrepreneurs (YE), a non-profit organization that provides hands-on curriculum and support for high school and middle school educators to teach students entrepreneurial concepts, today announced plans to redesign and scale its already successful YE Academy, to reach even more educators and students through online learning and YE community support.

YE Academy, created by Youth Entrepreneurs, serves as a hub for entrepreneurial education, training educators to teach entrepreneurship skills and business strategies to their students through games and other in-school curriculum, and empowering them to execute their own business ideas. The curriculum is centered around experiential learning, executed in real, market-based scenarios.

"Our programs have been enabling students through entrepreneurship and helping them establish a path for future success," said Kylie Stupka, president of Youth Entrepreneurs. "We've had great success with our face to face programs and curricula materials online, but wanted to scale YE Academy, allow customizable curriculum, and enable YE educators everywhere to join together in a larger YE community. We brought in Extension Engine as experts in eLearning to help us plan and develop the redesigned YE Academy.

Extension Engine is working with Youth Entrepreneurs to bring its successful curriculum, including YE's popular Market Day activity, to a wider audience. Extension Engine was chosen because of its successful track record working with organizations on custom learning initiatives that combine forward-thinking pedagogical approaches with learner-centered experiences. The company works with clients on strategy, pedagogy design, learner experience and platform build.

Keeping self-transformation at the forefront, the Youth Entrepreneurs program provides educators hands-on training and dedicated staff support, while students are offered a variety of mentorship and learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. With curriculum rooted in core foundational values and timeless principles, the Youth Entrepreneurs program can be applied across many educational disciplines and settings including homeschool environments, after-school programs, summer enrichment, labs, alternative schools and correctional facilities.

"Youth Entrepreneurs has evolved from a classroom-only program teaching a limited number of high school and middle school students the principles of entrepreneurship into a successful for-credit program offered in hundreds of schools across the country," said Furqan Nazeeri, Partner, Extension Engine. "We are inspired by their vision and actively working to help the organization take its program to the next level."
