Kepner-Tregoe Expands Experiential Learning Solutions With KTeX

PRINCETON, N.J., July 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- KTeX focuses on learning through experiences via realistic simulations, gamification and new learning platforms & technologies that enable learners to apply problem-solving skills effectively, with speed and confidence.

"The worlds of learning and problem solving have been disrupted: advances in neuro-science, behavioral economics and technology have made for a perfect storm, opening up new opportunities and challenging the conventional wisdom of how we learn and solve problems," comments Christoph Goldenstern, vice president of KT Innovation and Service Excellence Global Services. "The new challenges around learning come at a time of ever-increasing organizational impatience. One perception of technology-enabled learning is that it must produce results faster. Experiential learning is ideal for creating higher engagement with new learners and bridging the "theory-practice gap" by immediately relating the new skills to application scenarios and practice with instant feedback."

In order to build practical problem solving skills more quickly, KTeX focuses on interactive learning with the learner at the center of the learning experience, not the instructor. "We are seeing this new and evolving initiative as a 'challenge' to innovate and improve our client solutions to meet the need for more dynamic, technology-enabled, results-focused learning that drives an immediate benefit for the organization. This approach helps overcome the barriers that often times lie between learning new skills and actually using them" adds Goldenstern.

KTeX currently includes three programs that use hands-on application of problem-solving skills to accelerate the transition from learning to doing.

KT Frontline Simulation Workshops are available for Operations or ITSM & Service Support personnel. Participants learn five basic steps of troubleshooting and repeatedly practice applying the skills using close-to-reality simulation scenarios.

KT Risk Mitigation Workshops are structured for Manufacturing Operations or for ITSM & Service/Support personnel. Simulation-based scenarios for managing risks provide hands-on skills and real-world practice in planning for and managing the potential problems that can disrupt and cause costly damage to an organization's finances and reputation.

KT Troubleshooting Simulation is a flexible one, or two day event that invites learners to practice problem-solving skills in a safe-to-fail virtual environment and accelerate the transfer of skills from the classroom to the job. Learners apply skills quickly and efficiently under pressure, supported by group discussion and instructor coaching. The program is available as a separate workshop, can refresh and deepen existing expertise in using KT problem-solving skills or can be used to enrich a KT workshop.
