Colonial Toyota Ready to Welcome 2020 Highlander, Tacoma Models to Showroom

MILFORD, Conn., July 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Just like Christmas, it seems like a new model year starts earlier with each trip around the sun. Toyota's class of 2020 vehicles has already started to trickle into the Colonial Toyota showroom. However, there are a couple of other redesigned and reimagined Toyota vehicles that the dealership's staff and customers continue to be excited for, the 2020 versions of the Toyota Highlander and Toyota Tacoma. The latest iterations of the midsize crossover SUV and midsize pickup truck will be arriving with a lot of new features that should have little trouble keeping each one in a strong position of their respective automotive industry segments. Colonial Toyota has prepared their team of product experts about the differences between the 2020 versions of both vehicles versus the currently available models.

The 2020 Toyota Highlander is slated to arrive at dealerships around the United States (like Colonial Toyota) toward the end of the 2019 calendar year. When the three-row charter-member of the crossover SUV segment is finally delivered, customers will see an important change to the vehicle's available power plant equipment. Gasoline-powered models of the 2020 Highlander will come with the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter, V-6 engine attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment. Toyota has previously offered a four-cylinder option for the Highlander, but it is exclusively equipped on the hybrid version.

Additionally, the new design of the 2020 Highlander means that it will ride on a version of the Toyota global vehicle architecture. While its interior dimensions are slightly slimmer than previous models, the 2020 Highlander should still be among the class leaders in maximum cargo volume.

Colonial Toyota customers always get very excited about improvements made to the newest version of the Tacoma midsize pickup truck. The 2020 Toyota Tacoma joins the 2020 Highlander and several other new models from the automaker to include expanded access to today's most popular smartphone applications. Both the 2020 Toyota Highlander and 2020 Toyota Tacoma will be able to support the functionality offered by the Android Auto(TM) and Apple CarPlay(TM) suites of applications. The previous generations of both models did not have this capability.
