AVC Corporation Announces 100% Sustainable and Recyclable Packaging for Global Shipment

RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, Calif., Aug. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Recently Canada announced the banning of single use plastic packages and utensils that can't be recycled, and similar legislation in California is scheduled to be passed this fall. The question hanging over the packaging industry is: How long will it be until other states follow suit? While the ban is directly aimed at straws and eating utensils, the ban also affects single use plastic packages and it seems obvious that the days of see-through plastic packages are numbered.

However, multinational corporations around the globe are finally stepping up and taking responsibility to be good corporate citizens. They know that their single use plastic packaging, whether it is a clamshell, tray, or endcap will ultimately end up in landfill--or worse, polluting our oceans and streams. Usually it is the presentation issue or cost factors that entice them to keep using clear plastic packages. But, that's not really necessary anymore. E-commerce does not require fancy packaging or a clear opening for the product to be seen. E-commerce purchasers only want their packages to arrive on time, be easily opened, and be recycled quickly. AVC's 'Totally Sustainable Package' ("TSP") is the answer to all the above, whether it is an Amazon FFP package or a Costco display.

AVC Corporation, recently announced its new 'TSP Packaging Concept.' The 'Totally Sustainable Package' eliminates the use of any and all plastic. AVC's TSP packaging for e-commerce was approved for both Amazon Frustration Free Package (FFP) and Ships in Own Container (SIOC) tiers. While Amazon requires a frustration free package (FFP) to be opened within 120 seconds, AVC's FFP package can be opened and disposed of in your recycling bin in less than 20 seconds using nothing more than a butter knife. This package satisfies both Amazon's FFP and SIOC requirements.

Some companies will still say they need a plastic tray or end cap to hold and protect the package. AVC's answer is: you don't. AVC's packaging systems contain trays and endcaps that are not made of plastic and are totally recyclable and sustainable. AVC's TSP packages pass drop tests and vibration tests so packages arrive at big box retailers in the same condition they leave the factory. Thereafter, the TSP package can and will, withstand the retail experience of shelving and the trip home.

A multidimensional packager, AVC couples its innovative packaging with other services such as End2End Reverse Logistics which solves a major commercial problem: customer returns. End2End enables manufacturers and distributors to create a sustainable and efficient RMA chain with a one-stop solution to cut down the turnaround time of the reverse logistics flow. AVC has turned the 3PL concept into a 3PL+2 by adding 'return material refurbishing' and 'environmental packaging services.'

AVC is located in Rancho Dominguez California where all research and design is done. Having operations in China allows AVC to give its clients the best of both Chinese pricing on components with American design and know-how. Now you can lead in the sustainable packaging revolution, rather than be a follower.
