DSEI 2019: RT LTA announces improved capabilities for the popular SkyStarTM aerostat family

Recent improvements minimize drift, and further enhances the aerostat's availability

DSEI 2019, September 10-13, London, Israel Pavilion, Stand S5-220

04 September 2019. RT LTA Systems Ltd. - a world-class designer, developer and manufacturer of aerostats for use in intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and communications applications – will present the latest capabilities of the SkyStarTM aerostat family, at DSEI 2019.

RT's Skystar™ family of aerostats includes the SkyStar 110, SkyStar 120, SkyStar 180, and SkyStar 330. The recent improvements on the SkyStar aerostats minimizes the drift and drag, which normally occur due to ordinary aerodynamic changes. This will further enhance the aerostat availability.

Ideal for defense, security, border control and HLS missions, the SkyStar aerostat systems are deployed by many forces around the world and have already provided more than two million operational hours. The SkyStar aerostat systems are operational under extreme weather conditions with low operational and maintenance costs, and offering over 85% availability in any given area.

"These enhanced capabilities of the SkyStarTM family have been developed to meet the needs of our customers around the world who require an operational system at any given time,” says Rami Shmueli, CEO of RT LTA Systems. “We have recently completed successful field trials of these new capabilities, including testing them under severe weather conditions. SkyStarTM is one of the worlds' most popular aerostats, with more than 100 systems sold and operated worldwide.”
