Royal Danish Navy vessels upgraded
Copenhagen, 10 September 2019 – As part of the ongoing collaboration with the Royal Danish Navy (RDN) Terma has been tasked to upgrade the flexible support ships of the ABSALON class and the frigates of the IVER HUITFELDT class with the latest C-Flex Patrol version to support SCANTER 6000 for helicopter guidance.
C-Flex Patrol is the latest maritime C2 system from Terma, offering a modern, intuitive graphical user interface, available with touch screen interface. C-Flex Patrol supports ships and seamen in solving and fulfilling their missions, efficiently, by providing trustworthy Situation Awareness, mission-oriented setup combined with decision support through a high level of automation.
Operated from the C-Flex Patrol console SCANTER 6000 offers enhanced capabilities as helicopter control. The radar allows the operator to detect surface and short-range air contacts, while providing the capability to track and control any air vehicles operating in close proximity to the navy vessel. It’s surface surveillance capability also features superior small-target detection and target-separation abilities, even in adverse weather conditions.
Since the late 1990’es Terma has provided command and control systems, radar systems, self-defense systems, tactical data network, and other vital systems for RDNs vessels.
