Donovan Group Welcomes Liam Goldrick to Lead Efforts in Pennsylvania, Delaware

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- An experienced public policy and communications professional with a dedicated interest and expertise in K-12 public education will lead the Donovan Group's efforts in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Liam Goldrick has more than 20 years of experience as a policy director, advisor and communication specialist. He has focused his career on improving educator effectiveness, educational equity and teaching and learning conditions in public schools across the United States.

Goldrick, who is based in Philadelphia, will help the Donovan Group expand its services to public schools, districts and educational organizations throughout Pennsylvania and Delaware. The firm is among the top school communications, public relations and marketing firms in the United States.

Goldrick spent 12 years as policy director for the New Teacher Center, where he helped advance a strategic policy plan that incorporated policy consultation, communications and advocacy. His role included enhancing the organization's visibility, working with the news media and communicating about research and impact data that informs policy in support of educator development and retention. He also served as NTC's interim communications director on two separate occasions.

Prior to that, Goldrick was education policy advisor to Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle and a senior education policy analyst for the National Governors Association's Center for Best Practices. He has also provided consulting services to the Center for Great Teachers and Leaders, the Center for Optimal Learning Environments and the Regional Center for Educational Planning in the United Arab Emirates.

Goldrick holds a master's degree in education policy from the Kennedy School at Harvard University, as well as a bachelor's degree in political science from Boston College. He is also the parent of two children who attend public schools in the City of Philadelphia.
