Meggitt Awarded Aerial Weapons Scoring System (AWSS) Contract from the US Army

Meggitt PLC, a leading international company specializing in high performance components and sub-systems for the aerospace, defense and energy markets, has secured a $48,563,836 IDIQ contract for development, field operations support, installation support, training, cyber security support, systems and spares production, and repairs of the Aerial Weapons Scoring System (AWSS).

The contract will be supplied by Meggitt’s specialist defense division in Irvine, California, and Meggitt will support the US Army at several work locations, with funding to be determined with each order, and an estimated completion date of September 8, 2024. The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Orlando, Florida, is the contracting agent.

Meggitt’s Aerial Weapons Scoring System (AWSS) is used in live-fire crew qualification gunnery training for the US Army and various international customers.
