Sponzilli Landscape Group Completes Urban Landscaping Construction in Soho

NEW YORK, Oct. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sponzilli Landscape Group is proud to announce the completion of a brand new urban landscape project at 565 Broome in SoHo, NY. Created to be the tallest residential building in the area, this luxurious development spans 30 stories high. Its design includes 115 residences within a two spire complex and a wide range of amenities including rooftop gardens and green walls. Located in a bustling Lower Manhattan neighborhood, every room boasts a beautiful view of the Hudson River or the historic downtown area.

This project's impressive specifications were the brainchild of world-renowned architect Renzo Piano partnered with SLCE Architects. The property was purchased by developer Bizzi Partners and Development with real estate agency Aronov Development and Halpern Real Estate Ventures. The goal of the design was to continue the architectural legacy of SoHo while adding a modern touch to the historic urban landscape. Sponzilli Landscape Group is proud to have been a part of the landscape installation and bringing green space to the cityscape.

Sponzilli Landscape Group worked with Balmori Associates to create an unmatched visual experience for the building's residences. The project's installations include a rooftop garden and outdoor terrace, a 92-foot high green wall, a 5th-floor atrium, and 7th-floor pool area with greenery. Each area stands apart while creating dynamic spaces to escape and relax. Botanical specimens such as 40' Floridian olive trees, 25' American Hornbeam trees, and 10" caliper Dogwood trees were planted inside each building. For these trees to succeed the inclusion of engineered soil and an impressive remote irrigation systems were needed. "We worked with a lot of talented architects and designers on this project. From the beginning, we knew this would be a special landscape construction and installation that would make a very urban area feel alive. Our team coordinated permits and machinery to bring in large trees to the rooftop and atrium areas. The incorporation of large and small plant life on various levels of the buildings give the entire space a vibrant feel. The greenery from the living wall and trees inside and out of 565 Broome Street have transformed the cityscape into a stunning oasis for residents " Danny Sponzilli, CEO.
