Over 200 Laptop Computers Gifted to Inner City High School Students
CANFIELD, Ohio, Oct. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Blue Sky Therapy announced they are donating 213 gently-used laptop computers to East High School in Youngstown, OH to promote use of new technology and increase attendance rates among students.
Blue Sky Therapy has over 1,500 employees across skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, home health care and outpatient therapy clinics. Since 1986, Blue Sky Therapy has been committed to serving the greater-Youngstown area as both an industry leader and community partner.

"Right now, there is a big focus on student attendance. These laptops are going to become a part of our program to encourage and incentivize students for strong attendance," said Principal Jeremy Batchelor.
Batchelor also noted, "Today, the school laptops we have are not allowed to be taken home. Because of this donation we will be able to sign-out computers for students to take home for projects and other assignments."
Dean of Restoration, Denise Zordich, also highlighted consideration of laptops being gifted to deserving seniors with collegiate plans. "At the end of the day, our biggest duty is to make a positive impact on these kids through genuine connections and showing we care about their future. The opportunity to give a senior a laptop for their college endeavors is huge." Batchelor noted that a lot of colleges are now putting laptops on their new student needs list.
