Kauffman Engineering Names David Evans as President and CEO

Kauffman Engineering, LLC, a leading manufacturer in the wire harness and cable assemblies industry, announced today that David Evans has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Evans brings nearly 30 years of business experience across strategy, operations, and commercial management to Kauffman as part of an overall management strategy to ensure the Company’s continued growth and innovation.

Mr. Evans succeeds Mike Buis, who will transition from the President and CEO role to a strategic advisory role on the Board of Directors. Mr. Buis has served as Kauffman’s President and CEO since 2001 and has been a driving force behind the Company’s growth, which positioned Kauffman for a sale to private equity group Monomoy Capital Partners in 2019.

Mr. Evans most recently served as President and CEO of Oerlikon Drive Systems Americas in Lafayette, Indiana. He previously held executive roles at SMW Automotive, TRW Automotive, Booz-Allen and Hamilton, and NCR. Mr. Evans has lived and worked in North America and Europe, as well as run businesses in Asia and South America. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University and a master’s of business administration from Indiana University.
