E-Learning App Makes Math Fun For Kids Stuck At Home During Quarantine

IRVINE, Calif., May 1, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Created by Dr. Don Crawford, Rocket Math is an web-based game that offers students the opportunity to learn and improve their math skills through e-learning. This one-of-a-kind game helps children improve their math skills at home by completing challenging levels and increasingly difficult equations.

Children who are staying at home due to school closures and the COVID-19 pandemic can enjoy a 60-day free subscription. This special offer is making home-schooling a lot easier for families all over the world. In March, Rocket Math celebrated its 10,000th customer - and with the 60 day free subscription they hope to add another 10,000 users seeking to improve their math skills.

With schools all over the world closed, the need for quality e-learning software is more important than ever. The web-based game was developed by e-learning software company Topflight Apps, based in Irvine, California. Topflight Apps are known for their e-learning and educational products and they designed Rocket Math to make learning math as enjoyable and interesting as possible.

The idea behind the Rocket Math game is that students will be motivated by seeing their own progress and success. Players are rocket scientists, who have been given a special "mission" involving math equations.. The game is very fast-paced, allowing only three seconds per answer, so students learn to perform math equations quickly in their heads. There are speed adjustments for those who need it.

The game currently offers 14 different learning tracks students can learn, from basic addition, subtraction, multiplication or division as well as fractions. More options are being developed. Within each Learning Track there are 26 levels (A-Z) and each level has three stages - Take-Off, Orbit and The Universe. These milestones provide encouragement as students learn and progress through them.

The set-up for Rocket Math is quite easy. Parents, teachers or administrators can create an account and buy seats for a subscription. They can then assign seats to their students by creating login credentials and sharing those logins with students. Teachers and parents can then review results and monitor student progress.

"Rocket Math offers students the chance to become fluent in math and enjoy the process of learning," a Rocket Math spokesperson said. "The e-learning game has been developed to give children every opportunity to improve at math and succeed like never before."
