Discovery Cube Orange County and Newport Beach Re-Open Under New Health & Safety Guidelines
WHAT: Southern California STEM lovers and early learners are in luck as the much- loved Discovery Cube Orange County and Newport Beach open their doors to the public once again on Friday, June 19. The Cube will welcome local families and guests to enjoy a modified and safer guest experience with many of the same fun, educational STEM exhibits and activities they once loved. One of the new exhibits making its debut will be "Rube Goldberg: The World of Hilarious Invention," a collection of 3D, life- sized machines and interactive components that connect Rube's iconic cartoon contraptions to the way things work in the physical world. For guests unable or unwilling to visit at this time, the Cube has a number of digital offerings including Virtual Summer Camps and Discovery Cube Connect, the brands latest STEM portal for grade levels K-8. Both Discovery Cube O.C. and Newport Beach will observe state and county's strict health and safety re-opening guidelines including reduced capacity, use of masks/ PPE, social distancing, enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols, contactless payments and limited hands-on exhibits and activities. Discovery Cube L.A. will remain closed until further notice.
