EVSR Continues Research & Development of Electric Motorsport Series

SACRAMENTO, Pa., July 21, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Entropy Racing's all-electric race car program (EVSR) will be at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), July 31 and August 1 to compete in Grassroot Motorsports' "Ultimate Track Car Challenge" (UTCC). Project Manager & Chief Engineer Charlie Greenhaus and EVSR's Lead Driver Todd Reid will be competing to see who is the fastest driver. Team EVSR will be bringing two Generation II cars (and possibly a third) to this event. This will be a great opportunity to stretch the legs of the EVSRs on 3.37 miles of track.

Earlier in the month was the first time the Generation II was at Lime Rock Park; this track's high speeds provided insight into the effects of downforce on the new body design. Reid did walk away with the fastest lap in Saturday's feature race besting 34 gas-powered cars.

EVSR had brought their Generation I cars to UTCC in 2014 and their best lap was a 2:15.872. Greenhaus predicts the Generation II cars are capable of a sub 2:10 lap. These events with varying configurations and conditions will further assist the ultimate goal of creating an all-electric motorsport series.
