Nam Tran Nguyen and Andrew Marino Join Generate’s Leadership Team

Generate Capital, Inc., the leading partner for the Infrastructure Revolution, announced today that Nam Tran Nguyen has joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer and Andrew Marino as Senior Managing Director and Head of Strategy. As the company’s first Chief Operating Officer, Nguyen assumes responsibility for the Company’s operations, including the more than 2,000-asset fleet, Generate’s data and technology function and its customer success activities supporting the hundreds of enterprises, communities and campuses that rely on Generate for affordable, reliable and sustainable resources. Marino will lead the Company’s strategy efforts, drive key partnerships and investment opportunities with pioneering project developers and technology companies, and help Generate’s partners achieve their goals rebuilding the world.

Nguyen brings to Generate more than a decade of experience as an executive at leading firms in the clean energy sector. Prior to joining Generate, she served as Executive Vice President at SunPower, one of the largest solar companies in the world, with leading market share position in the US. Nguyen ran SunPower’s commercial and industrial solar division, a more than $500M revenue business. Previously, Nguyen was Vice President of Global Business Development at First Solar, where she led the sale and financing of First Solar’s project pipeline totaling more than $8 Billion of financings. She also has held investment banking roles in New York, Singapore and Los Angeles.

Marino comes to Generate from over fifteen years with the Carlyle Group, a multinational private equity, alternative asset management and financial services corporation. There he served as Partner, Managing Director and co-Head of Global Infrastructure Investing. In prior roles, Marino served as COO of Energy and Natural Resources Investing and Managing Director in Carlyle’s flagship U.S. Buyout business. During his time at Carlyle, Marino was instrumental in establishing new investment areas of the firm, served on several fund investment committees, and held Director positions on many Carlyle portfolio company Boards. He is an acknowledged thought leader in the field of sustainable infrastructure investing.
