Walters Wedding Estates Honors Military Couples with Wedding Giveaway

“It started with a friend request …” Some of the best love stories begin in the most unsuspecting ways, and Walters Wedding Estates can attest to hosting many unions that began just like that — online. Or in line at Target. Or in Okinawa while on military leave. You get the idea. Today, Walters Wedding Estates cordially invites you to learn the stories of 20 military families to be honored for their service after being nominated for the estates’ first-ever Weddings for Warriors giveaway.

Approximately 175 military couples were nominated for the special giveaway created for military couples planning to tie the knot or renew their vows. “We honor the brave men and women who serve our country, and this is our way of saying ‘thank-you’,’’ said Sarah and Keith Walters, owners of Walters Wedding Estates.

“Caleb used to play with my hair during English class. I would always hope he’d sit next to me at lunch,” says one bride-to-be whose fiancé serves in the United States Army.

And another bride, who just retired from the Army on medical leave, is pursuing her desire to be a Registered Nurse while her husband-to-be still serves. “We are so thankful to the Walters Wedding Estates to give us this opportunity to celebrate our marriage with our families and friends,” she says.

Inspired by her grandparent's very special love story, Estates founder Sarah Walters launched Weddings for Warriors in January 2020. "My grandfather, Thomas Clayton Quigley, served in the U.S. Army 2nd Indianhead Division in WWII. He was a decorated veteran and Battle of the Bulge survivor. I experienced first-hand the passion he and my grandmother, Barbara, shared for their country and the life-long commitment they made to serve it throughout their 69 years of marriage," Walters says. “It is our hope that Weddings for Warriors honors their love story and brings years of happiness to other military lovebirds for years to come.”

Each Estate reception hall will host a military couple’s wedding in 2021. The gift includes a Sunday-to-Friday evening venue rental in January, February, July or August, and includes in-house catering and bar packages.

Nominations open later this year for the 2022 Weddings for Warriors giveaway. See www.waltersweddingestates.com for details and nominate yourself or someone you know.
