Parts Town Ranks 20th in Crain's Chicago Business "Fast 50"

Parts Town, the market-leading distributor of foodservice equipment parts, has been named as a 2020 Fast 50 honoree by Crain's Chicago Business. Parts Town earned the 20th spot on the list, cracking the top 20 for the second year in a row.

The Fast 50 feature recognizes the fastest-growing companies in the Chicago area, based on five-year growth percentage. Parts Town received its rank by reporting more than $719 million in revenue in 2019, a 496% increase from 2014.

“Making the Fast 50 list for the eighth time is an incredible honor. Our sustained growth is driven by an amazing team that is committed to serving our customers and manufacturers with excellence every single day,” said Steve Snower, Chief Enthusiasm Officer, aka CEO, of Parts Town. “Right now, we are focused on the health and safety of our team members and partners ― while innovating to meet the needs of the foodservice industry, both now and in the future.”

The past year was marked by several milestones for Parts Town, most notably its combination with Heritage Food Service Group. Bringing together two growth-minded and innovative businesses, the combined organization creates stronger capabilities for manufacturer and customer partners, with an emphasis on supporting service agents. Parts Town will continue to invest in impactful innovation, highly personalized customer service and expanded inventory to further improve the genuine OEM parts purchase experience.

In addition to this combination, other recent Parts Town developments include:

  • The launch of Parts In Town, an OEM parts marketplace that enables one-hour pick-up of parts in several local markets, helping participating service companies engage in e-commerce
  • A strategic partnership with Davisware, the industry leader in ERP software for commercial field service companies
  • The introduction of fast and easy online returns

This year’s honor marks the eighth time Parts Town has been included in the Fast 50 list. To be eligible for the award, companies must be at least six years old, have had at least $15 million in 2019 revenue, and be headquartered in the seven-county Chicago area (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties in Illinois, and Lake County in Indiana).

Crain’s Chicago Business selects and ranks honorees by comparing revenues over a five-year growth period, prioritizing growth as a key indicator of success to identify the region’s thriving companies.
