Notice of Data Incident June 13, 2024
Huntersville, North Carolina - Omni Healthcare Financial Holdings ("Omni Healthcare"), parent holding company of the affiliated entities Omni Healthcare Financial LLC (formerly known as Global Financial, Chiro Capital, or MedChex) and Injury Finance LLC, provides services to healthcare organizations in support of their health care operations. Omni Healthcare recently experienced a data event that impacted certain information related to patients affiliated with those healthcare organizations.
On January 19, 2024, Omni Healthcare experienced a network disruption that impacted its ability to access certain files on its network. Upon discovery, Omni Healthcare immediately isolated its network and third-party specialists were engaged to investigate. On January 30, 2024, after a thorough investigation, Omni Healthcare determined that an unknown third-party accessed or acquired certain information on our network between January 18, 2024, and January 19, 2024. The information varied by individual but may include patient names, contact information, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, diagnosis & treatment information, medical record numbers, treatment costs, and provider names.
Omni Healthcare immediately undertook a thorough review of the information to identify potentially affected individuals. Omni Healthcare then worked diligently with its healthcare partners to identify contact information for individuals to notify them of the incident. Omni Healthcare is mailing letters to individuals for whom it has address information.
Omni Healthcare has established a toll-free call center to answer questions about the incident, provide access to complimentary credit monitoring services, and address related concerns. The call center is available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 6:30 PM Eastern Time, excluding some U.S. holidays, and can be reached at (866) 495-7092. Omni Healthcare also implemented additional security measures to help prevent a similar occurrence in the future.
