Vallen Distribution Announces Jake Kalnitz as Executive Vice President of Category Management

BELMONT, N.C., May 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Vallen Distribution ("the Company"), a global leader in optimized indirect industrial supply chain solutions, has hired Jake Kalnitz as Executive Vice President (EVP) of Category Management.

Kalnitz's duties will include leading category management strategies, including exclusive brands and supplier programs, North American pricing strategies and enterprise marketing.

Kalnitz brings more than a decade of progressive experience driving growth and operational excellence across category management, merchandising, supply chain, and finance. Before joining Vallen, he served as Senior Vice President, Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer at True Value Company, leading the business's product, procurement, promotion, and pricing functions. Before True Value Company, he spent nearly a decade at W.W. Grainger across multiple functions and disciplines, including Finance, Inventory Management, and Category Management.

Kalnitz earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
