Company’s Milestones & Projects
Orbital Engenharia had a project supported by the PIPE Program of the Sao Paulo State Foundation for Research (FAPESP), to develop, to manufacture and to qualify tooling, equipment and processes for solar array generators manufacturing for aerospace applications.
As a hallmark, Orbital Engenharia took part in the technical data package preparation for the entire review process of the Brazilian Sounding Rocket VSB-30, which successfully passed in a qualification review conducted at the European Space Agency (ESA).
Moreover, significant moment for the company was the design of the electrical part of the solar array for the Brazilian Multi-Mission Platform - MMP, currently under production of the qualification models.
Orbital Engenharia produced the solar panels for the Technological Satellite (SATEC).
At the end of the year 2005, Orbital Engenharia won a bid promoted by the Brazilian Space Research Institute (INPE) for manufacturing the Solar Modules and the Electrical Part of Solar Array for the China - Brazil Earth Resources Satellite (CBERS 2B).
The first lot of Solar Modules Flight Model was delivered recently and passed acceptance tests.
