Service and Calibration

This service is offered for the company's own brands as well as for other equipment. 
Periodically or on demand performed on all customers' equipment (installed by Hielkema or third parties).

For the calibration of customers' equipment Hielkema  uses specifically trained engineers.  They check customers' equipment using checklists for all functions and specifically the safety functions. Depending on the results the equipment will be corrected and/or repaired.

All measuring equipment is reducible to NAMAS and NKO. Inspections on cooling equipment are performed according STEK guidelines (Stichting Erkenning Koeltechnische Installatie Bedrijven).

After calibration Hielkema  supplies clients with the relevant certificate.

As a standard model of environmental  test chambers, the Platinous-Series has achieved optimum operational ease, safety and environmental friendliness in addition to superb performance and reliability. It embodies design concepts featuring energy conservation, easier maintenance, and resource recycling after disposal.

Temperature (and Humidity) Chambers,  Bench-Top-Series
The Bench-Top models achieve superb performance in a compact size, and attain temperatures as low as -20 C/-40 C/-60 C, with a capacity of 22,5 or 64 l. The chambers are delivered ready to use and just need a 230 V power supply.

This table-top temperature and humidity chamber is ideal for laboratories and research facilities. One reason is its easy handling. It has a wide temperature and humidity control range and its superior temperature and humidity distribution performance create a precise internal environment. Environmental Stress Chamber AR series
Achieving reliability requires a system that delivers results quickly and reproduces environmental conditions accurately.
ESPEC's Environmental Stress Chamber can withstand heat loads generated by the specimen, improve temperature change rates, and provide expanded ranges for temperature and humidity.
Each chamber is also equipped with a specimen temperature control function to meet stringent testing demands typically required for automotive parts and mobile products.
ESPEC offers two temperature control ranges: -75 C to +180 C and -45 C to +180 C. And two test chambers capacities: 680 L and 1100 L.
These models incorporate the most desirable features in temperature and humidity chambers.

The increased quality of electronics and other products, coupled with mobile "on the go" applications, have caused manufacturers to demand more severe temperature stress tests that can catch product defects sooner. Further, global manufacturing operations require a test chamber that can be installed around the world for consistent results.
To meet this demand, ESPEC introduces a new Global-N-series of faster temperature cycling chambers. Two standard sizes of 380 or 800 Liters (12 and 28 cubic feet) are available, designed to require the least amount of floorspace for this level of performance. Several models are available with temperature changes as fast as 15K per minute. All models have aggressive, convective airflow to ensure faster product change rates, as well.

Faster Temperature (and Humidity) Chambers
A faster temperature and humidity chamber with 1800 l capacity has been developed for reliability testing of increasingly large display devices to be used e.g. automotive components, in car electronic systems, and more. The chambers are packed with a number of features, e. g. exterior replacement of wick, lower power consumption, free use of right and left side of device, pocket for printed material and shelves, etc.

Compact Ultra Low Temperature Chamber, fabr. ESPEC, MC-Series
This compact ultra low temperature chamber has high performance to meet the diversity of users' needs, notwithstanding compact in size. The chambers are delivered ready to use and just need a 380 V power supply.

Ultra View Temperature (and Humidity) Chambers, fabr. ESPEC, PWL-Series
The Ultra View Temperature and Humidity Chamber provides a clear view of the entire chamber interior, enabling continuous observation of specimens during testing. 
The doors feature large, multilayer EC glass panes.These panes allow for a temperature range of -40 C to +120 C.
Both sides of the viewing window are temperature-controlled to prevent dew condensation due to temperature/humidity changes, enabling a clear view of specimens throughout the entire test proces.

Walk-in type Temperature (and Humidity) Chambers

We offer the walk-in type Temperature (Humidity) Chambers H-Series in 8 sizes with an inside capacity from 4,2 m3 to 52,7 m3. The standard temperature range of the chambers is -40 C to +80 C. Highest adjustable temperature may be raised to +120 C by changing the heat insulation specifications. The chambers work within a humidity range of 10 % r. H. to 95 % r. H.

Bigger windows, a ramp or double-swing doors are available as an option.

Solar Panel Testing Chambers

Chambers to complete certification testing of solar panel modules to IEC or UL standards. Temperature cycling, humidity-freeze, and damp heat testing are all possible.

EWSX282 Large Walk-in for Solar Panels
ESPEC's solid construction walk-ins are desirable for testing large loads of PV modules or panels at 85 C/85% as well as humidity-freeze and temperature cycling tests.  Hermetically welded seams and stainless-steel interior ensure integrity under extreme conditions required by IEC.
The models come in different performance versions, depending on your application. More powerful performance allows you to complete the temperature-cycling test faster, or with a maximum number of modules. There also is a 'damp-heat' only model that saves you capital-cost and energy.

ENX112 Full-size Solar Panel Test
The ENX112 chambers provide a test chamber large enough for testing full-size PV modules in the least amount of floorspace.
These models provide a variety of performance capabilities to meet maximum or minimum change rates in IEC or UL test standards. Incorporated are the features of our smaller Platinum and Global-N lines. The refrigeration systems of these models utilize modern, high performance scroll compressors that allow a small footprint while allowing unparrelled service access.
The models come in different performance versions, depending on your application. More powerful performance allows you to complete the temperature-cycling test faster, or with a maximum number of modules. There also is a 'damp-heat' only model that saves you capital-cost and energy.

SMS-2S Fast cycle chamber
A faster temperature and humidity chamber with extension with a 2200 l capacity has been developed for testing of Solar panels.
This model provide has a performance capabilitie to meet maximum or minimum change rates in IEC or UL test standards.

Thermal Shock Chambers

Thermal Shock Chambers, fabr. ESPEC, TSA-Series (air to air)
The new TSA-Series offer numerous user-friendly features providing the impressive performance required for today's testing. This thermal shock testing system features shorter temperature recovery and heat-up and pull-down rates, reduced energy consumption and reduced noise and space requirements.
A temperature recovery time of less than 5 minutes has been achieved for the upstream air of 2-zone (+150 C/-65 C) and 3-zone operation. The side-flow system in which air flows horizontally through the test area provides superior specimen temperature uniformity performance. A touch-panel design ensures easy-operation setting simply by following the displayed instructions and touching the screen.

Thermal Shock Chambers, fabr. ESPEC, TSE-Series (air to air)
This compact high performance Thermal Shock Chamber with 2 chambers will be delivered ready to use and just needs a 400 V power supply. It has an inside capacity of 10,9 l is supplied with casters and a cable port to control the specimens inside the chamber.

Thermal Shock Chambers, fabr. ESPEC, TSD-100 (air to air)
ESPEC's new two-zone air-to-air thermal shock chamber model TSD-100 is designed to meet Mil-Std, IEC, JASO and EIA test specifi cations. Its Specimen Temperature Trigger function speeds up testing by monitoring the temperature of the test product. The capacity of the TSD-100 is suitable for testing of larger products or batches of up to 30 kilograms.
The TSD-100 provides good uniformity during temperature recovery, decreasing variations of stress-level between different test samples.
With the STT function, a thermocouple is attached to the test load, starting the soak timer once it detects the load has achieved the set point. This saves testing time while still providing accurate, compliant testing.

Thermal Shock Chambers, fabr. ESPEC, TSB-Series (liquid to liquid)
The high performance test chambers will be delivered ready to use and fulfill the most difficult test normal (e.g. MIL 883 D, method 1011.9, test requirements +150 C/-65 C, 5 mins.) without problem. Further features are the modern program operation (touch panel), high temperature constancy of the baths, as well as little use of liquid (e.g. Galden D 02 TS).

Gas Mix System

The Gas Mix System is a special built instrument for measuring diverse gas concentrations under various climatic conditions.
Various gases can be purged inside a gas mixture tank which is placed inside a temperature controllable area.
Gases can also be humidified by a very accurate humidification system.

Highly Accelerated Stress Test Chamber (HAST Chamber)

Electric and electronic components are becoming increasingly smaller and of higher mounting density, and are being produced unter strict environmental controls. They are also exposed to various changes in temperature and humidity during storage, transport and use. These stresses can cause degradation of components due to the accumulation of moisture and repeated moisture absorption and evaporation.
Highly Accelerated Stress Testing (HAST), which offers highly precise moisture absorption conditions and short test time has attracted much attention as a method of evaluating and analyzing moisture-resistance.

Temperature Chambers

ESPEC Temperature Chambers can be used in a wide range of applications, including high-temperature testing and manufacturing processes such as heat treatment and drying. The new, dedicated instrumentation for temperature chambers has a larger display area and provides improved operation.
In addition to the standard instrumentation that offers two-step programming, the M-instrumentation allows programmed operation in up to 18 steps.

Class 100 Clean Ovens

These models are used extensively in heat treatment/drying or burn-in of semiconductor wafers, liquid crystals, disks and other components and devices requiring clean air conditions. These units can also be prepared for installation in clean-room environments. Class 100 cleanliness is achieved by employing a HEPA filter and a back-to-front laminar circulation system. The high-performance models (with MS suffix) provides stable performance even during heat-up or cooling.

Vibration Combined Test Chamber

This chamber simulates combinations of physical (mechanical) stress such as vibration, shock and acceleration in addition to environmental stress such as temperature and humidity.
800 mm size test fixture can be set in a type 5 chamber to enable testing of large-size specimen. The P-instrumentation enables easy programmed operation of up to 20 patterns and total of 512 steps.

Out of the Qualmark delivery program we mostly offer Halt and Hass equipment.
These are testing methods that bring extreme thermal and mechanical stress to a new product. Potential weaknesses can be found and traced during the development of your product.

Interfaces and Software

Most ESPEC test chambers are equipped with an internface, type RS-485 as standard. Types RS-232, IEEE-488 (GP-IB) and Lab VIEW driver can be ordered as option. The protocol-converter PMS-CA together with the software ERC-100M allow to set operation parameters, monitor testing, create programms, and record data for up to 16 systems with a PC. ERC-100M enables the same test pogram to be used with multiple systems by simply copying the program, saving significant programming time.

AMI Ion Migration Evaluation System

The AMI Ion Migration Evaluation System detects changes in insulation resistance with high precision. It also detects decline of insulation resistance by continuous measurement while applying voltage under high-temperature, high- humidity conditions. The leak-touch detection function detects the occurrence of ion migration in microsecond intervals. It immediately shuts off stress voltage to the channel when leak-touch is detected. You may choose whether to continue testing after detection (optional).
