Poluevo Invest is a Joint Venture between SAFRAN/SNECMA and NPO Saturn JSC, charged with creating and operating Open-Air Test Benches to handle certification tests for the SaM146 engine. Poluevo-Invest has no counterparts in Europe as far as its functional and technical characteristics are concerned. It enables carrying out a whole set of certification tests of gas-turbine engines with maximum thrust up to 23 t in accordance with the requirements of AR IAC, EASA and FAA, such as:
- Cross-wind tests
- Blade-out tests
- Tests in icing conditions
- Water, hail and bird ingestion tests
- Acoustic tests
- Emission control
- Endurance tests
Equipment and technical provision, as well as OATB installation were supported by CENCO (France).
