The Multi-Annual Implementation Plan (MIP) puts Civil Society (CS) at the heart of the collaboration with South Africa (SA). The programme “Civil Society-Capacity Enhancement, Dialogue and Recovery (CEDAR)”, will support the implementation of the EU Roadmap for engagement with CS, the Democracy and Human Rights Country Strategy and the Gender Action Plan III Country Level Implementation Plan, as well as facilitate CSOs’ engagement in programmes in support of other MIP priorities. The Technical Assistance will respond to the needs of CSOs and assist with the operationalisation of EU commitments to promote an enabling environment, foster policy inclusion/dialogue and develop CSOs’ capacities. It will include skills training and capacity development activities for CSOs; topics may include governance, fundraising, networking, advocacy and digitalisation. One focus area is support to structured dialogue between CSOs, the Government of SA, the EU Delegation and EU Member States.
