IQMS Director of Industry Relations Elected to MESA Americas Board
IQMS, a leading manufacturing ERP software and manufacturing execution system (MES) authority, announced today that Ed Potoczak, IQMS director of industry relations, has been voted to the Americas Board of Directors of Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA) International.
MESA is a worldwide not-for-profit community of professionals from the manufacturing and technology sectors, as well as industry analysts, academics and students. The organization is focused on empowering manufacturers to improve their business results and production operations through the optimized application and implementation of information technology and best management practices. As a member of the 2017-2019 MESA Americas Board of Directors, Potoczak will contribute to MESA’s initiatives aimed at helping the manufacturing community use information technology to provide real-time visibility into the production process.
Additionally, Potoczak is a member of MESA’s Smart Manufacturing Working Group. In this role, Potoczak is collaborating with other group members to demystify technology-related information and terms—including industrial Internet-of-Things, Industry 4.0, the model-based enterprise, and smart manufacturing. The goal is to interpret how these terms apply to manufacturing or production-related operations that drive business value.
Potoczak will join other MESA Americas board members this week at the MESA 2017 North American Conference. The event runs May 8-10, 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio, and it is co-located with the IndustryWeek Manufacturing & Technology Conference & Expo.
