doTERRA® Donates to High Hopes 4 Autism Annual Fundraiser

PLEASANT GROVE, Utah, July 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Founded in 2009, High Hopes 4 Autism is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program in Alabama designed to empower children with autism and other developmental or behavioral challenges. Part of a Catholic school in Elberta, High Hopes 4 Autism strives to help children with developmental delays, behavioral issues, autism spectrum disorders and more. doTERRA was proud to support the program by making a donation to the annual Pirates Cove Autism FUNraiser.

The FUNraiser is held each year to raise money for programs that will benefit children who attend High Hopes 4 Autism. All proceeds from the FUNraiser are used by High Hopes to continually provide support for children with developmental delays, autism or other challenges and offset costs for therapy. The High Hopes program is designed to assist children on the autism spectrum in developing new skills, with the hopes of eventually integrating them into a traditional classroom.

Applied Behavior Analysis has been heavily researched for years and proven successful for helping to alter behavior and develop skills. While there are many techniques applied within ABA, the focus is reducing harmful or distracting behaviors, while working to increase beneficial behaviors.

Using methods like Applied Behavior Analysis, the High Hopes program focuses on language development and social behavior for children with autism. The intensive intervention allows professionals at High Hopes to address each child's specific needs in order to help them overcome certain developmental and social delays. As the name suggests, this program has "high hopes" for each child who enters their doors, and believes in the potential that each student has to reach important developmental milestones.
