Built.io Reports Skyrocketing Growth With New Customers, Partnerships and Awards For Its API-First Content Management System Contentstack

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Built.io today announced that its Contentstack business has grown exponentially throughout 2017 and unveiled a wave of new customer wins, a number of new enterprise-class features to the platform and expanded its executive ranks. More than a dozen enterprises, including Art.com, Axiom, Cisco, DRINKS, JD Power, Miami HEAT, Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan, Oasis Collections, Telltale Games and Varidesk, signed on as customers in Q3 alone, amid an unprecedented surge in interest for Built.io's industry-leading, headless content management system (CMS).

"We had to change our existing CMS because we were hitting limits in terms of both capability and scale and needed a solution that would get us up and running quickly," said Vijay Ayyar, Senior Director, Engineering at Art.com. "We wanted a solution that was built using the latest technology and ready for new digital channels. With Contentstack, we adopted a CMS that was built for the future, while still covering all of today's enterprise needs. We can now support our multiple domains and sites, easily deploying content across many different environments."

The wave of customer success comes on the heels of a strategic partnership struck with software giant SAP, which officially named Built.io as its partner for omnichannel headless content management. SAP selected Contentstack for its ability to unify, simplify, and accelerate content management and now makes it directly available to its customers via the SAP Cloud Platform Portal.

"Built.io is gaining recognition for its pioneering work in enabling device-independent content experiences through its Contentstack offering," said Jim Lundy, founder and CEO of Aragon Research. "As an SAP partner, Built.io's omnichannel headless CMS capabilities will be available to the entire SAP customer base, which is increasingly looking for ways to deliver content and conduct transactions on non-PC devices."

In addition to receiving recognition from Aragon, analyst firm Constellation Research described Built.io's new relationship with SAP as an "important partnership."

The same week of the SAP announcement, Built.io was featured as headliner at the API World 2017 conference, where Built.io unveiled transformational use cases for API-first CMS technology during a standing room only keynote. At its booth, Built.io showcased augmented reality (AR) applications powered by Contentstack.

"Contentstack has garnered plenty of success powering large websites and mobile apps as the leading headless CMS for traditional content channels," said Matthew Baier, COO at Contentstack. "With our customers and partners embracing new digital channels, we're excited to once again lead the industry with the architecture and best practices to enable unprecedented CMS use cases that take advantage of cutting edge technology, including IoT, AR and VR."

Contentstack is further introducing key new enterprise features, including:

-- Image Delivery API: Allows companies to support omnichannel image
delivery. Images can be automatically manipulated and converted,
optimizing properties such as image size, orientation and quality to
        suit the destination.
-- New SDKs: Allow developers to create applications and manage content
using their preferred language and framework. The new SDKs for Ruby,
PHP, Java and React Native complement the existing SDKs for iOS,
        Android, JavaScript, and Node.js.
-- Organizations: Enables administrators to manage users and content stacks
from a single administrative panel. This makes Contentstack easy to use
for organizations with a large number of content collaborators and
        sites.
-- Asset Management: Allows content editors to view and restore previous
versions of an asset; new description fields enable asset titles,
metadata and alt text; a nestable folder structure allows for easy
        organization of assets into groups.
-- Realtime Entry Presence: Permits content collaborators to view who is
online and working on an entry, avoiding collisions and overwriting of
        content by multiple editors.

As part of its recent domain move from contentstack.io to contentstack.com as the new home for the Contentstack product, Built.io also introduced a revamped documentation site for developers. Located at www.contentstack.com/docs, this new technical content repository includes a rich library of tutorials, videos, code samples and use case examples to help get developers up and running with Contentstack in record time.

To support the surging customer demand for Contentstack, Gordana Vuckovic joins as VP of Sales from Docurated where she led sales for its enterprise content delivery platform. In her new role, Gordana will further accelerate the company's growth across key industries and Contentstack's dominance in the CMS ecosystem.
