Hattiesburg Toyota dealership spreads holiday cheer with participation in Operation Christmas Child

HATTIESBURG, Miss., Nov. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- When the holiday season arrives, it is easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of buying Christmas gifts and forget about those less fortunate. As Christmas approaches, it is important to remember those across the globe and in the local community that need a little help this holiday season. Toyota of Hattiesburg is leading by example with its participation in Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child that brings holiday cheer to children across the globe.

As a participant in Operation Christmas Child, Toyota of Hattiesburg has committed to collecting 100 shoeboxes packed with toys, school supplies, personal hygiene products and more that will then be distributed to children in other countries. The dealership will be collecting donations for this holiday-inspired charity until November 20.

Individuals in the Hattiesburg area who would like to participate in Operation Christmas Child can donate toys or money that will be added to the boxes. Participants can also pick up a box at the dealership and bring it back filled, along with $9 for shipping. Boxes can be packed for a girl or boy within age groups that are 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14. Items that are recommended include a doll, a stuffed animal, a soccer ball, clothing, personal care items, crafts and activities, toys and a personal note.
