Interview with Mr Jan T. Peters, Managing Director of E-quipment B.V.

Mr Jan T. Peters, Managing Director of E-quipment B.V. gave an exclusive interview to Epicos, regarding the position of the company in the international and national markets. Among others, he stated that: “We sell a complete portfolio of secured portable encrypted storage solutions, protected by PIN, and accredited by the Dutch Government and NATO. Next to that we sell Cyber Security Awareness Trainings, and Encrypted Secure Mobile Phones”

  • Would you like to describe the current position of E-quipment in the national and international markets?

- E-quipment is operating since 2012 as an exclusive iStorage distributor appointed to the BeNeLux region. We handle around 150 IT-resellers and the 80-20 rule applies.

  • Can you please name your main products?

We sell a complete portfolio of secured portable encrypted storage solutions, protected by PIN, and accredited by the Dutch Government and NATO. Next to that we sell Cyber Security Awareness Trainings, and Encrypted Secure Mobile Phones.

  • Would you like to mention your main partners?

No I don’t because there is too much competition going on. If I exclude one, others might be offended.

  • Can you please briefly describe the history of E-quipment?

Sure, we were founded in 2009, after serving different roles with Ingram Micro, APC (American Power Conversion) and Norman Antivirus. The last one suffered from a very competitive market and after working for them over 7,5 years they presented a reorganization plan. My time was come, but also handed me the opportunity to start my company, E-quipment.

  • Which are the main business sectors that E-quipment is active in?

Security, Information Security, Privacy protection, Cyber risks training.

  • Would you like to share with us the next steps and priorities of your company? 

Be more successful in government and NATO domains, grow Defense business and search for offset opportunities. 

  • Is there a specific country or region where E-quipment would like to expand to in the near future?

Belgium and Luxembourg deserve more attention, and we are searching for local sales talent as we speak. We are allowed to do business anywhere, just not exclusively. We have the exclusivity for the BeNeLux countries.
