Retail Tech Event Adds Microsoft Keynotes and Industry Experts to Speaker Lineup

NAPA, Calif., July 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Now in its 8th year, the Retail Realm Partner & User Conference (hosted at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas on August 20-22) has added several keynotes and thought leadership sessions to its three full-day agenda. Featured speakers will include senior executives from Microsoft, IHL Group and Retail Orphan Initiative, and Retail Management Hero, Inc.

The event will kick off with its first keynote speaker, Balaji Balasubramanian, the Principal Group Program Manager for Microsoft, who will present to the audience of solution providers, developers, vendors and retailers the 12-month progress update of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail, and what to look forward to in the coming year.

"I am excited to speak at the Retail Realm Conference every year, as it completely focuses on digital transformation happening in the retail industry including omni-channel excellence, and brings together customers, partners, ISVs and a broader ecosystem to discuss, learn, share and grow their businesses. This year, I am thrilled to be participating to outline details around the Dynamics 365 for Retail and Commerce solution including Microsoft's vision, strategy and progress we've made as well as roadmap. I will also share opportunities for Dynamics partners and ISVs to better engage and collaborate with Microsoft to best support our growing customer base worldwide," said Balasubramanian.

The event will also include keynotes, one from Greg Buzek, President of IHL Group and Founder of the Retail Orphan Initiative. A noted thought leader and expert in the retail space, Buzek will present on the changing landscape of the customer experience and show why, despite news to the contrary, the retail industry's radical transformation is leading to real possibilities for resellers and retailers.

Said Buzek: "Don't believe all the negative hype about this supposed Retail Apocalypse. Retail is no doubt changing, but if you run a solid business with modest growth and don't take on huge amounts of debt, there are huge opportunities in retail. Those who have struggled have taken on way too much debt, expanded too quickly, or refused to upgrade their stores and address their inventory out-of-stock issues. If you're investing in your technology infrastructure, those opportunities are even greater. This presentation will review who really is at risk to Amazon and why those who are smart will not only survive but thrive."

Just published, the retail technology conference's 2018 agenda will provide two main product-focused session tracks: one centered on the Microsoft Dynamics RMS next-gen POS solution, Retail Management Hero (RMH), and the other on Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail and its available business integrations, payment processor options, and verticalized extensions. The RMH track will include a deep-dive into its headquarters component, RMH Central, which provides central visibility and management of all RMH stores.

New CEO of Retail Management Hero, Jeff Riley, a former Senior Executive of Microsoft and Dinerware, will speak directly to companies selling or using Dynamics RMS or RMH about the company's 2019 strategy for growth.

"We will provide RMH Central demos and also discuss important product plans and updates on RMH POS and Store Manager. We'll also show our launch plans and roadmap for the entire product suite, as well as 3rd-party products and extensions to RMH," said Riley.

Also confirmed as session speaker and payment panel moderator is Jim Roddy, a nationally recognized Reseller & ISV Business Advisor, who will be sharing his list of recurring revenue products and services that will make businesses more profitable and more valuable.

"The Retail Realm Conference is always a great place to exchange ideas with some of the top players in the retail IT channel," said Roddy. "I'm looking forward to sharing details behind the list I've collected of recurring revenue products and services implemented by POS resellers - and also learning more best practices from my fellow attendees."

The event will include the Microsoft Executive Summit, RMH State of the Union forum, and social networking opportunities. Attendees can walk through the Exhibit Hall to see firsthand software and hardware solutions from companies, such as Vantiv now WorldPay, Shift4 Payments, Cayan, Avalara Inc., Aures Technologies, Scraffic, Sound Payments, BlueStar, HP Inc., Foresight Automation, Retail Management Hero, and more.
