LOOP-LOC, Manufacturer of Inground Pool Liners, Provides the Ultimate Post Pool Party Maintenance Checklist

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., July 18, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Pool parties are the epitome of summertime fun in the sun, but your pool must work hard to accommodate more bodies than normal for many hours, guaranteeing it needing a little post-party TLC. LOOP-LOC, manufacturer of inground pool liners, provides you with the ultimate post-pool party maintenance checklist for you to look at after all the fun is done and the work begins.

    1. Clean up! Parties are a lot of fun, but can cause a lot of mess, too.
Make sure your pool and the areas surrounding it are clean of any trash
left over from the festivities. Skim the pool of leaves and other
floating debris as well to make sure you can properly clean the water
       later.
    2. Hose and mop down the area around the pool, including ladders and stairs,
to make sure any leftover dirt and other contaminants are cleared from
the surface, away from the pool.
    3. While the hose is out, check your pool's water level. If it is lower than
normal from all the fun, splashing pool action, refill it to the proper
level so the filter and pool skimmer work as intended.
    4. Speaking of the filter, make sure to clean it out! It worked hard with
all the people in the water during the party, so empty out its contents
to prevent any damage in the long term.
    5. Gather up any towels or articles of clothing left out by the pool.
Chlorine acts as a bleaching component, so it may discolor these items if
left unwashed for long periods of time.
    6. With all the extra bodies in the water, your chlorine levels may have
dropped low enough to put your pool in danger of algae growth. Ensure
that your pool stays clean and clear by shocking the water to kill off
any leftover party bacteria. 1 to 2 pounds of pool shock per 11,500
gallons to the water is sufficient to clean up the pool waters for your
       next swim.
    7. After shocking the pool, sample your pool water and test it for the
chemical levels. Be sure to properly adjust your pH, alkalinity, calcium
hardness, and chlorine levels to the levels that your pool water needs.
    8. Enjoy your new clean pool to the fullest, until you have another pool
       party.
