With over forty two years of experience in the field of medicine, Dr. Mark D. Schneider is revered for his outstanding contributions to the medical industry. A prominent professional, Dr. Schneider has served in his current position since 1993. Dr. Schneider serves as the Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program at PIH Health - Downey Hospital a position he has held from 1993-2000, 2006-2013, and 2015 to the present. Dr. Schneider has also served as Chief of Staff from 2000 to 2002 and holds academic positions with Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California and Nevada.

Board certified in Family Practice by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, in his prior years, Dr. Schneider attained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UCLA in 1971. Later, Dr. Schneider attained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. Thereafter, Dr. Schneider did his post-doctoral training at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

In looking to the future, Dr. Schneider hopes to stay in good health while establishing financial security for his retirement.

In recognition of his professional achievements, Dr. Schneider was chosen as an elected Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians in 2008. In 2017, Dr. Schneider was named Top Doctor in the field.

When he is not working, Dr. Schneider enjoys sports, sailing, staying in shape and spending quality time with his family.
